At Last!

After all the preparations, noy and I finally said our I dos. At around 3 pm of December 30, 2008, Assumption Parish, the ceremony started. Our rites was officiated by Fr. Frankie delos Reyes and was filled with music courtesy of POP CHOIR. It went on smoothly. Shortly after the picture taking in the church, everybody was set to go to the reception venue.
When noy and I arrived at the venue, everybody was already settled and we were just waiting for the cue from our emcee to have the grand entrance. It was indeed a memorable event. Almost all of the important people in my life were there to celebrate with me this joyous event.
The programme went on the way we planned it. Everybody had fun. Though there was a little drizzle in between but nothing compares to the fun we had. We wrapped up at around 9:30 in the evening and off we go to our hotel.

We'll be posting pictures soon! So keep posted!

One Big Happy Family

Today is a very special day for us. My brother arrived this afternoon together with his girlfriend. We had a sumptuous dinner that feels like our usual noche buena celebration. After dinner, we had our traditional kris kringle at our living room. We formed a circle and sing the never ending " I love my manita" song. I got the watch i really like and it a gift from my manita ellen. When it was my turn, I gave out a nice, fashionable shorts to suzet. Everybody was so happy while opening their respectives gifts. Oh how i wish that moment would never end. Nothing really compares to celebrating christmas with a complete family.

Last Minute Shopping

My cousins and I went to the mall to have some last minute shopping for our Kris Kringle on Christmas eve. It feels good to see the smiles of the people amidst the present crisis. We got to see people from different walks of life and they all have one common goal and that is to buy something for someone. Everybody was so hyped up and no traces of weariness reflect on their faces. With the scenes I encountered I still believe that Christmas is the best time of the year and nothing and nobody can put the spirit of Christmas down, not even the world crisis. Let us remember that the true meaning of Christmas is the Love we have in our hearts.

Getting Comfy with Santa

When I was a kid, Christmas for me means toys, candies and lots of gifts. Our parents told us the story of the birth of Jesus and how the kings at that time went out of their way just to go to the manger where Jesus was born and bring some gifts. My siblings and I were also introduce to one great man, who according to our parents, would give us gifts we really wanted if we will remain to be good boys and girls. Young as we were, we believed the story. My brothers and I hang big socks on our window so as to accommodate Santa Claus' gift for us. I, for one got a wish one fine Christmas. I received a walking and talking doll. I was so delighted with the present that I let the whole neighborhood knew of it. I told myself that someday I'm going to meet Santa and say thank you.
Now that I am older, I still do have wishes. I wish to have the things I really need and somehow would be very useful in my day to day activities. I was trying to canvass on these things over the net when I came across with one particular site that caught my attention, the http://www.sitonsantaslap.com/?utm_source=b. This site allows viewers to upload photos and turn them into a magical scene with Santa Claus. I really had fun uploading mine and somehow my childhood wish of meeting Santa Claus in flesh came true. Going over the site, I discovered that this amazing site also has a promo contest for Santa friends. An entry will be randomly drawn and is going to win a $500 cash! Would you imagine that? Not only that you'll have the time of your life sitting on Santa's Lap, you will also have the chance to win cold cash! So what are you waiting for! Let's get comfy with Santa!

A Prayer Gift for Someone

Last night i received an envelope with a P500 bill in it. It was given through a friend, also an organist, who also received the same. They told me that it was a Christmas gift from someone who is ill. She doesn't want to reveal her identity to us and all she ask was for a prayer. I was deeply touched with her gesture. She was giving out, well in fact she needs it for treatment. I wanted to meet her and embrace her and assure her that I will be praying for her.

Here's a prayer for you my friend...

PRAYER FOR THE SICK

Father of goodness and love, hear our prayer for the sick members of our community and for all who are in need. Amid mental and physical suffering may they find consolation in your healing presence. Show your mercy as you close wounds, cure illness, make broken bodies whole and free downcast spirits. May these special people find lasting health and deliverance, and so join us in thanking you for all your gifts. We ask this through the Lord Jesus who healed those who believed. Amen.

O Father of mercies and God of all comfort, our only help in time of need: We humbly beseech thee to behold, visit and relieve thy sick servant N. for whom our prayers are desired. Look upon him with the eyes of thy mercy; comfort him with a sense of thy goodness; preserve him from the temptations of the enemy; and give him patience under his affliction. In thy good time, restore him to health, and enable him to lead the residue of his life in thy fear, and to thy glory; and grant that finally he may dwell with thee in life everlasting; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

10 days to Go!

Whew! I'm feeling quite exhausted now. There's still a lot to do with regards to our wedding preparation. Some invitations are still waiting to be distributed, flower dealers to consult with, songs for the mass to practice plus payments to settle. All of these things are slowly eating up my energy. I just wish the ceremony will go on smoothly the way we planned it. I'm keeping my faith, knees to the floor with palms together. May God Bless Us and Our Plans. Amen.

Answers to the 5 Riddles

1. The third room. Lions that haven't eaten in three years are dead.
That one was easy, right?

2. The woman was a photographer. She shot a picture of her husband,
developed it, and hung it up to dry (shot; held under water; and hung).

3. Charcoal, as it is used in barbecuing.

4. Sure you can name three consecutive days, yesterday, today, and
tomorrow!

5. The letter
e,
which is the most common letter used in the English
language
, does not appear even once in the paragraph.

5 Riddles

1. A murderer is condemned to death. He has to choose between three
rooms.. The first is full of raging fires, the second is full of
assassins with loaded guns, and the third is full of lions that haven't
eaten in 3 years. Which room is safest for him?

2. A woman shoots her husband. Then she holds him under water for over
5 minutes. Finally, she hangs him. But 5 minutes later they both go out
together and enjoy a wonderful dinner together. How can this be?

3. What is black when you buy it, red when you use it, and gray when
you throw it away ?

4.. Can you name three consecutive days without using the words
Wednesday, Friday, or Sunday?

5. This is an unusual paragraph. I'm curious as to just how quickly
you can find out what is so unusual about it. It looks so ordinary and
plain that you would think nothing was wrong with it. In fact, nothing
is wrong with it! It is highly unusual though. Study it and think
about it, but you still may not find anything odd. But if you work at
it a bit, you might find out. Try to do so without any coaching!

The Dangers of Losing Zzz's

by: Nicolette Romero

Occasional sleepless nights are okay, but if dozing off is becoming a recurring problem, watch out for the following signs of sleep deprivation:

Weight gain

Experts say that sleep loss lowers leptin levels, which causes an increase in hunger. This can result in weight gain if the person reacts to the hunger by consuming food at night (such as midnight snacks) when the body’s metabolism has slowed down.

Mood swings

Has everyone been getting on your nerves lately? Without sufficient rest, your stress and anxiety levels rise, causing you to become irritable and short-tempered-even with yourself. Try passing up on the occasional work night’s gimik. Save your partying for days when you can sleep in.

Brain static

Although your brain works harder to counteract the effects of sleep loss, it can’t function as effectively. If you’re having a hard time concentrating at work or can’t impress your boss with your usual wit and charm, it may be time to consider getting some much-needed shut eye.

Poor immune system

Adequate rest and a properly functioning immune system are closely related. If you’ve got your doctor on speed dial, take a look at how your lifestyle may be affecting your health. The more sleep-deprived you are, the greater your chance for contracting infections.

Driver Fatigue

The fewer hours of rest you get, the greater your chances are of meeting a car accident. If cabbing it isn’t an option, arrange for a car pool at work or get a friend to ride with you. Driving alone? Open the windows to let some fresh air in, or listen to your fave CD and sing a la Britney to perk yourself up.

Express Yourself!

Been wanting to express yourself? Try expressing yourself through music. Music for me is the highest and the most artistic form of expression of one's feelings and thoughts. Everyday, we are dealing with different kind of music genre and somehow we can easily relate to the songs we are listening to.
Since i got hooked with the internet, i spend most of my time listening to music to calm me or to hyped me, depending on my mood. Lucky for us now that the songs we love are already made available for us to download over the net. In my search of great music, I came across with this incredible home with music at its finest, the Kerchoonz. This amazing site allows the listeners and downloaders to avail of the music they want for free!!! Yes, you read it right! This site offers music for free! One thing that is great about this site is that if features not only the latest and hit music at present but also it provides a venue for the new artist to communicate and promote their songs to the listeners. The unique features of this site makes it beneficial in both ways, for the musician, to market his or her music and for the listeners, who can avail the music free of charge. Isn't it great! Why don't you try and see it yourself!

5 DON'TS WHEN YOU ARE SLEEPING

DON'T SLEEP WITH WATCH

Watches can emit a certain level of radioactivity. Though small, but if
you wear your watch to bed for a long time, it might have adverse
effects on your health.

DON'T SLEEP WITH PHONE

Putting the phone beside your bed or anywhere near you is not
encouraged. Though some of us will use phones as alarm clocks, but
please put the phone as far as possible. Scientists have proved that
electrical items including mobile phone and television sets emit
magnetic waves when used. These waves can cause disruptions to our
nervous system. Therefore if you need to put your mobile phone near you,
switch it off first.

DON'T SLEEP WITH MAKE UP

People who sleep with make up might have skin problems in the long run.
Sleeping with make up will cause the skin to have difficulty in
breathing and problem in perspiring. You will also need a much longer
time to go into deep sleep.

DON'T SLEEP WITH BRA

Scientists in
America have discovered those that wear bras for more than
12 hours have a higher risk of getting breast cancer. So go to bed
without it.

AND MOST OF ALL....

DON'T SLEEP WITH OTHERS' WIFE / HUSBANDYou may never wake up again.

Getting Paid with Posting

A friend of mine introduced me to the world of blogging. He was earning through posting blogs in his site. At that time, I was so curious about it and somehow interested because of the money he is earning. I entered the world of blogging with the motive of earning in mind. But for some unfortunate reasons, my blog was constantly rejected. So I started to loose interest.

Just recently, another friend of mind encouraged me to update my blog from time to time so that i can earn a page rank and it will be easier for advertisers to see my blog. She even helped me improve my site to make it more marketable and formal. Followed her advise and eventually, my blog is getting a lot of approval. She was also kind enough to introduce me to this incredible site that pays on line postings. I found it very "blogger friendly"and "reader friendly" too. It has an easy registration process and very clear and timely correspondence. It provides clear instructions for those first time users. This site also provides a blogger directory that makes it convenient for advertisers to view bloggers to advertise their products and services. With the great number of advertisers emerging, more and more people are given opportunities, many lives change.

Blog advertising is newest trend in the marketing world. Since we are in the age of computers and almost everybody is into the internet, advertisers now are using the internet as their medium of communication. The recipients on the other hand finds it very convenient to locate and meet their needs through online services. Life is made easy and relax with the advancement of technology. It is inevitable that we are moving into a world wherein everything is just within our reach with just click of our finger.

All About Love and Marriage

"EVERY relationship has a cycle. In the beginning, you fell in love withyour spouse. You anticipated their call, wanted their touch, and likedtheir idiosyncrasies."

"Falling in love with your spouse wasn't hard. In fact, it was a completely natural and spontaneous experience. You didn't have to DO anything. That's why it's called "falling" in love... because it's happening TO YOU."

"People in love sometimes say, "I was swept of my feet." Think about theimagery of that expression. It implies that you were just standing there; doing nothing, and then something came along and happened TO YOU."

"Falling is love is easy. It's a passive and spontaneous experience. But after a few years of marriage, the euphoria of love fades. It's the natural cycle of EVERY relationship. Slowly but surely, phone calls become a bother (if they come at all), touch is not always welcome
(when it happens), and your spouse's idiosyncrasies, instead of being cute, drive you nuts."

"The symptoms of this stage vary with every relationship, but if you think about your marriage, you will notice a dramatic difference between the initial stage when you were in love and a much duller or even angry subsequent stage."

"Extramarital fulfillment comes in all shapes and sizes. Infidelity is the most obvious. But sometimes people turn to work, church, a hobby, a friendship, excessive TV, or abusive substances. But the answer to this dilemma does NOT lie outside your marriage. It lies within it."

Love & Marriage

Here are some thoughts about LOVE and Marriage.....

THE KEY TO SUCCEEDING IN MARRIAGE IS NOT FINDING THE RIGHT PERSON; IT'S
LEARNING TO LOVE THE PERSON YOU FOUND.

SUSTAINING love is not a passive or spontaneous experience. It'll NEVERjust happen to you. You can't "find" LASTING love. You have to "make"it day in and day out. That's why we have the __expression "the labor oflove." Because it takes time, effort, and energy. And most importantly,
it takes WISDOM. You have to know WHAT TO DO to make your marriage work.

Make no mistake about it. Love is NOT a mystery. There are specific things you can do (with or without your spouse) to succeed with your marriage.

Just as there are physical laws of the universe (such as gravity), there are also laws for relationships. Just as the right diet andexercise program makes you physically stronger, certain habits in your relationship WILL make your marriage stronger. It's a direct cause and
effect. If you know and apply the laws, the results are predictable. ..you can "make" love.

Love in marriage is indeed a "decision".. . not just a feeling.

Women Rules!!!

WIVES VS. HUSBANDS

A couple drove down a country road for several miles, not saying a word. An earlier discussion had led to an argument and neither of them wanted to concede their position. As they passed a barnyard of mules, goats, and pigs, the husband asked sarcastically, "Relatives of yours?" "Yep," the wife replied, "in-laws."

W O R D S
A husband read an article to his wife about how many words women use a day...
30,000 to a man's 15,000. The wife replied, "The reason has to be because we have to repeat everything to men... The husband then turned to his wife and asked, "What?"

CREATION
A man said to his wife one day, "I don't know how you can be so stupid and so beautiful all at the same time." The wife responded, "Allow me to explain. God made me beautiful so you would be attracted to me; God made me stupid so I would be attracted to you!

WHO DOES WHAT
A man and his wife were having an argument about who should brew the coffee each morning. The wife said, "You should do it, because you get up first, and then we don't have to wait as long to get our coffee." The husband said, " You are in charge of cooking around here and you should do it, because that is your job, and I can just wait for my coffee." Wife replies, "No, you should do it, and besides, it is in the Bible that the man should do the coffee." Husband replies, "I can't believe that, show me." So she fetched the Bible, and opened the New Testament and showed him at the top of several pages, that it indeed says .........."HEBREWS"

The Silent Treatment
A man and his wife were having some problems at home and were giving each
other the silent treatment. Suddenly, the man realized that the next day,
he would need his wife to wake him at 5:00 AM for an early morning business flight. Not wanting to be the first to break the silence (and LOSE), he wrote on a piece of paper, "Please wake me at 5:00 AM." He left it where he knew she would find it. The next morning, the man woke up, only to discover it was 9:00 AM and he had missed his flight. Furious, he was about to go and
see why his wife hadn't wakened him, when he noticed a piece of paper by
the bed. The paper said, "It is 5:00 AM. Wake up."
Men are not equipped for these kinds of contests.

Can't Have Enough of your Wish List?

As the days drew nearer, my Christmas wish list is growing by the minute. More and more must-haves keep on popping inside my head. Hang over as you may call it, but I cannot have enough of my experience uploading images to CEIVA Digital Photo Frames. It was indeed fun to upload my pictures when I was a kid, one of the most memorable photos was the one taken by my father with me holding a doll. Dolls play an important role in my formative years. They are my first interaction since i have no playmates then. I was so engross with uploading my pictures and I even had my little nieces see my work on my desktop and they could not believe that I was indeed sitting on Santa Claus' lap. They were so jealous. I also shared some video of it to some of my closest friend and they too were curious about it.
The CEIVA Digital Photo Frames are indeed one best way to fulfill your wishes. Childhood dreams came true with this all new, all original technology. What another brilliant way to express ourselves too! But mind you the fun never stops there! CEIVA Digital Photo Frame users will get a chance to win $500 in there got a wish Sweepstakes. A winner will be drawn daily, more and more Christmas wishes will come true!

First Day!

Today is actually my first day of work for December. I was absent from work the other night due to cough and severe colds. I'm feeling a little better now. Hyped as i am, I actually woke up at around 5 am! Imagine that? I'm no early bird when it comes to waking up in the morning.*wink*. My friends can attest to that. I guess i miss work a lot that my subconscious mind and my body clock work in accordance. I guess i need more than a luck, for today will be the inauguration of the Dr. Jerry Cunanan's Foundation and i was informed just yesterday afternoon that i will be one of the usherette. Huh? yeah, having this cough and colds makes me feel uncomfortable. Hope to get thru this day smoothly.

5 Finger Prayer

This is so neat. I had never heard this before...This is beautiful -- and it is surely worth making the 5 finger prayer a part of our lives.

1. Your thumb is nearest you. So begin your prayers by praying for those closest to you. They are the easiest to remember. To pray for our loved ones is, as C. S. Lewis once said, a "sweet uty."

2. The next finger is the pointing finger. Pray for those who teach, instruct and heal. This includes teachers, doctors, and ministers. They need support and wisdom in pointing others in the right direction. Keep them in your prayers.

3. The next finger is the tallest finger. It reminds us of our leaders. Pray for the president, readers in business and industry, and administrators. These people shape our nation and guide public opinion. They need! God's guidance.

4. The fourth finger is our ring finger. Surprising to many is the fact that this is our weakest finger; as any piano teacher will testify. It should remind us to pray for those who are weak, in trouble or in pain. They need your prayers day and night. You cannot pray too much for them.

5. And lastly comes our little finger; the smallest finger of all which is where we should place ourselves in relation to God and others. As the Bible says, "The least shall be the greatest among you." Your pinkie should remind you to pray for yourself. By the time you have prayed for the other four groups, your own needs will be put into proper perspective and you will be able to pray for yourself more effectively.

NASA & Military Defy Eye Problem

Got an Eye Problem? Are you spending too much on annoying eyeglasses and contact lenses? Then worry no more! As we are now in the modern world, technology innovation is of great help to the betterment of a person's well-being.
A great innovation in the eye industry provides a great deal of solution to people with eye and visual problems. Just to note that this technology has been proven to be very effective, some special government agency like the NASA and the U.S. Military, who are undeniably the government's front liners and whose jobs are physically demanding, had taken advantage of this laser correction technology to improve there visual function.

LASIK information, states that the modern version of the known LASIK technology, now uses two laser as to oppose to the one laser of the earlier technology. During the first stage of treatment, the wave-front technology plots the eye's distinctive character; subsequently an ultra-fast, computer guided laser creates a corneal flap This procedure is brilliantly safe and precise as this is guided by the computer and not the hand held microkeratone blade as what the older version uses. When the corneal flap is made, the wave-front mapping data directs the second laser for vision improvement. This advancement in the eye technology generates a personalized treatment procedure with accurate, safe and beneficial results. A study shows that in 100 military personnel who received the treatment, 95% of them achieved a 20/20 vision. This high percentage only proves that this is the best solution to the visual problems people are facing at present.

The Positive Sides of Life

Living on Earth is expensive,
but it does include a free trip
around the sun every year

How long a minute is
depends on what side of the
bathroom door you're on.

Birthdays are good for you;
the more you have,
the longer you live.

Happiness comes through doors you
didn't even know you left open.

Most of us go to our grave
with our music still inside of us.

Some mistakes are too much fun
to only make once.

Don't cry because it's over;
smile because it happened.

We could learn a lot from crayons:
some are sharp, some are pretty,
some are dull, some have weird names,
and all are different colors...but
they all exist very nicely in the same box.

A truly happy person is one who
can enjoy the scenery on a detour.

Have an awesome day, and know that someone
who thinks you're great has thought about you today!
And that person was me.

Christmas Wish Granted

In my earlier post, I spilled out my wishes for this Christmas season. On my desire to get everything on my wish list, i stumbled on this amazing site called CEIVA Digital Photo Frame Got A Wish Sweepstakes. No sweat! Wish Granted!

As a kid, Christmas will always be the "Season of Santa Claus". Christmas is never complete if there's no stocking hung on the wall wherein santa will put his precious gifts in the middle of the night. Curious as I was, I dreamt of meeting Santa Claus, talk to to him and tell him everything i really want for christmas. Now with CEIVA, makers of the CEIVA Digital Photo Frames, it allows you upload your photo, that means your favorite, chic, memorable photos you have, and only in a fraction of a section, you will be seeing yourself sitting on Big Santa's Lap. I assure that you will have fun with this one. So Start Uploading your favorite photos and see you wishes unfolding right before you very eyes. So let's start wishing now! Santa has his big lap reserve just for us.

And not only that you enjoy fulfilling your wishes, all the entries of CEIVA Digital Photo Frame will be randomly drawn. One lucky wisher each day will receive $500! Wow! what a great way to enjoy this Christmas Season.

The Holy Alphabet

Just wanna share to you guys this simple thoughts....

A
lthough things are not perfect
Because of trial or pain
Continue in thanksgiving
Do not begin to blame
Even when the times are hard
Fierce winds are bound to blow
God is forever able
Hold on to what you know
Imagine life without His love
Joy would cease to be
Keep thanking Him for all the things
Love imparts to thee
Move out of "Camp Complaining"
No weapon that is known
On earth can yield the power
Praise can do alone
Quit looking at the future
Redeem the time at hand
Start everyday with worship
To "Thank" is a command
Until we see Him coming
Victorious in the sky
We'll run the race with gratitude
X-alting God most high
Yes, there'll be good times and yes, some will be bad, but...
Zion waits in glory, where none are ever sad!

"The shortest distance between a problem and the solution
is the distance between your knees and the floor."

God bless you!

My Bro's Big Day

Today, December 1 is my youngest brother's birthday. He is now 26!Oh my! I can't believe it! For us, he will always be the baby in the family. I'm just glad that he is having a good time with his Youth for Christ buddies. With the big number of pips who came and greeted him, only shows how good my brother is. Marvyn, or kuya as what his bros and sis in the community calls him is very supportive of his group. He is very selfless and very kind-hearted. No wonder everybody loves him. Keep it up Binoy!!! Love you Bro....

Sacred Angel

I received this Sacred Angel from a friend of mine.

You're...
My friend,
My companion,
Through good times and bad,

My buddy,
Through happy and sad,
Beside me you stand,
Beside me you walk,
You're there to listen,
You're there to talk,
With happiness,
With smiles,
With pain and tears,
I know you'll be there, throughout the years!

You are all good friends to me and I am grateful to you.

Now I'm passing this on to you, my friend... Grace, Vinz, Donnabel,Mel, Shy

May you be bless too!
